Yaktivate.com Rebrand

Starting in the fall of 2006, we sat down with what was known as Podstar Network and began collaborating on discovering the core brand idea of the company. Through this process, it became evident that the current name and brand expression needed major overhaul in order to speak to the power of the brand. Yaktivate became a dramatic re-orientation of the brand that spoke to the excitement of empowering voice through podcasting in addition to a playful pun of an actual yak character. Already reflecting the core informal, playful values of the company, the Yak embodied a human element that was easy to relate to and could translate into different expressions for all of the variety of content for different channels. Commented by observers as a stroke of genius in corporate naming, thus became yaktivate.
